Here are some stats
- Birthday:
- 01/08/1982
- Where You’re From/Where Do You Live:
- Born in Newport Beach, grew up in Tustin, moved away to San Luis Obispo for college, then moved back to Orange County to Lake Forest, then in the last few years wound up back in Tustin.
- Hobbies:
- Bit of a homebody, but I enjoy going camping and hiking with friends when I have the chance.
- I also participate in a local choir as a Tenor (haven’t done a whole lot of that lately due to COVID, but looking forward to getting to the point where that group can get back together again.)
- When I’m home I like to settle down with a good book or movie, and keep up with my friends through a few online games.
- Favorite Food and Beverage:
- I have a real hard time passing up a good homemade pizza.
- Also a big fan of tacos, sushi, or a good tri-tip sandwich topped with salsa.
- Through the pandemic I’ve been teaching my self to cook with a cast-iron pan, and I’ve gotten a couple of chicken and stir-fry vegetable recipes under my belt.
- For beverages, my usual is iced tea with either a bit of lemon or peach, or if I’m having alcohol, then an amber ale or spiced rum depending on the situation.
- Favorite Books:
- Hard to narrow it down to just one, but “Guards, Guards!” and “Hogfather” by Terry Pratchett, “Miracle Monday” by Elliot S. Maggin, for works of fiction.
- For non-fiction, I really love reading works about history or personal accounts, like “Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors” by Hornfischer and “All Creatures Great and Small” by James Herriot.
- Shows:
- Don’t have a lot of TV shows that I’m currently watching but I’m open to suggestions. I generally enjoy comedy, science-fiction, mysteries, or action.
- Movies:
- Almost too many to name, here’s just a few titles from the top of my movie shelf: The Prestige, Knives Out, The Abyss, Robo-Cop, The Iron Giant, Ip-Man, Back to the Future, the Mad Max Series, The Matrix; all of which I’ve gone back to multiple times.
- I’m game for all kinds of genres; sci-fi, adventure, mystery, martial arts, etc. The only kinds of movies I tend to avoid are the really gory horror stuff (spooky or creepy movies are fun though).
- Fun Fact/Anything You Wanna Share:
- Before I switched to Mechanical Engineering, I started out with Aerospace as my declared major in college. I’ve always had a fascination with airplanes and rocketry and have a small collection of models I’ve built over the years. One day I’d love to get into the RC plane hobby, build something of my own design, and see if I can get it to fly.
